Indian Air Force holds the selection process for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Flying Branch and Permanent Commission (PC) / Short Service Commission (SSC) in Ground Duty (Technical) and Ground Duty (Non-technical) Branches.
The CAPF (AC) Examination is conducted by UPSC to recruit Assistant Commandants in India’s paramilitary forces. The exam provides an opportunity to serve in the BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, and SSB as Group A officers. The selection process consists of a written examination, physical efficiency test (PET), medical examination, and interview/personality test. The exam is held annually, and notifications are published in leading national newspapers and the UPSC website in April.
Applications for CAPF are available online only on the UPSC website www.upsc.gov.in. The offline application process is no longer available. Candidates must register using a valid email ID and fill out the application form after the official notification is released.
